click to enlargeThe Super Six converge this week in Las Vegas, where Zach is shocked to find his pal Greenlee in a wedding chapel. Thorsten Kaye explains what brings them there, and adds his vote for mayor of Pine Valley: Annie!

WEEKLY:  Zach and Kendall go to Vegas with Ryan and Annie to keep an eye on Annie?
KAYE: Yeah, because they want to make sure she's okay. They don't know she's seeing Richie's ghost. The problem is that Kendall now knows Ryan is really in love with Greenlee. Who else is he really in love with? This guy's banged everybody in town. If you look like that and can do it, that's cool. But make a decision.
WEEKLY: So Zach feels bad for Annie?
KAYE: He's on her side. I mean, this guy [Ryan] loses his mind, and then when he gets his memory back, he says, "Here's what I remember. I love the little one."
WEEKLY: But Annie stole the letter saying Ryan's vasectomy didn't take and then purposely got pregnant to "keep" him. That's not cool.
KAYE: She opened this letter and she read it, but as somebody who's a big fan of the show, here's something I don't understand: First, Ryan said he didn't want kids because he had this anger problem, so he had this vasectomy, right?
WEEKLY: Right.
KAYE: What happened to the anger problem? Does that go away when they cut your nuts? That's never been dealt with, so now she's pregnant again, and he's left saying what he said to Greenlee: "What the f--- are you doing? I have an anger problem."
WEEKLY: Well, so does Annie. She killed Richie!click to enlarge
KAYE: That's a little thing (laughs). The way I see it, Richie killed himself, the way he behaved and how he went after people and almost killed Zach and Greenlee. Annie, to me, needs to be mayor of Pine Valley.
WEEKLY: I love your opinion of all this, but your character is suspicious of her.
KAYE: He just wants to see what's going on, because Kendall is meddling in everybody's life. Annie says, "I wish I could just get away." Zach says, "Why don't you go to Vegas? I'll set you up. You can gamble. You can stay in the casino." She says, "Why don't we all go?" So it's her idea.
WEEKLY: And Zach and Kendall follow her.
KAYE: Zach says, "Without judging her, let's take her away from all the stress with Ryan and the real Greenlee, and see what the deal is." So that's why they go to Vegas.
WEEKLY: Even though he suspects she's involved in Richie's death.
KAYE: It's actually a nice piece of writing. Annie says, "After Richie kidnapped Babe, he said this and this and this." And Zach says, "Wait a minute - you didn't talk to Richie after he kidnapped her." Annie says, "Oh, I have to think about that for a second." Because she didn't. He left her, and then she said she never saw him again. So that's an interesting twist.
WEEKLY: Everyone knows Richie was psycho, anyway.click to enlarge
KAYE: If anybody should know about a psycho brother, it's Ryan. Funny how he's not forgiving about any of this stuff. Annie, at least, did the right thing.
WEEKLY: In Vegas, Ryan suggests he and Annie renew their wedding vows, and they all head for the chapel. Did you all get dressed up?
KAYE: Yes, but for me that just meant a different gray suit. It's spur-of-the-moment. But they don't go through with it, because they open the door to the only chapel in Vegas, apparently, and there's Aidan and the real Greenlee standing there (see story above).
WEEKLY: Where are Zach and Kendall's kids during all this?
KAYE: They're with the nanny that got fired about three months ago. So I guess they're sitting home watching videos.
WEEKLY: What kind of videos?
KAYE: This is something that might be of interest to your readers. Every year, I put out a DVD collection of just my scenes. I put together my favorite scenes from the whole year and they just happen to be all me. So they're watching that.
