While B&B's Thorsten Kaye is still getting his sea legs as Ridge, one thing he's glad his character doesn't have to do is dance -- like when he was told he'd be hoofing it while playing Nick the bartender on the NBC musical series SMASH.

"That wasn't right, man," Kaye recalls with a grimace. "I had no idea it was coming. I said, 'You can't do that to me! It's one thing to do a dance number but don't tell me 10 minutes before. You don't understand. I'm not choosing not to do it, I can't do it [laughs].'  Meanwhile, there's Jack Davenport [ex-Derek] saying he had a bad back that day. 'Oh, no. Don't sit there with Uma Thurman [ex-Rebecca] and say your back hurts today. You don't get to do that."
