Kaye thinks his co-star's health crisis made her a better actress.

Although Lyndsey Godfrey (Caroline) has said that her battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma as a young girl set back her acting career because of the break she took from Hollywood to recover, her co-star, Thorsten Kaye (Ridge), would beg to differ. "I think it added 35 years to her acting career," he says, noting that Godfrey has a level of maturity that could arguably stem from her ordeal.

"I didn't know her before [the cancer], so maybe it's unfair to say, but she faced what no one should ever have to face, and she got through it. Maybe things in life mean a little bit more to her because of it." In any case, Kaye couldn't be more impressed with the ingenue."The only thing that makes me said is that I don't think she's going to be [at B&B] forever. Someone is going to find her and give her a movie career!"
